After releasing his first single, Full of Sh*t, featuring Yelawolf and Big K.R.I.T we all wondered whether Rittz could hold down a whole record on his own. Well, you don’t have to wonder any longer, because the up-and-coming Georgia emcee has teamed up with producer DJ Burn One yet again to drop High Five, a song that keeps him firmly in the solo spotlight. Rittz delivers an impeccable double time flow over DJ Burn One‘s down south track that incorporates an indelible sample that will continue playing in your head after the song is done. Displaying his blunt and nonchalant attitude, Rittz spits lines such as “Yela put me on an elevator going up, any brother steppin to me on the mic I’ma bury him, I aint scared of being arrogant, yeah it gets hard but these balls hard like a barbarian, plus a mother f*cker represents Slumerican.” With the release of High Five has Rittz truly established his rapping abilities? We’ll find out for sure when his upcoming mixtape, White Jesus, hits DJBooth.net in February.
