RJD2 ft. Phonte - Temperamental

Though RJD2‘s 2007 album, The Third Hand, was the subject of a review by our own Nathan S., veteran producer RJD2 somehow has yet to receive an audio feature on our pages. While we may be late to the party, you could hardly ask for a fresher introductory feature than Temperamental, the latest single off the Portland, Oregon beatmaker’s next full-length. Here, the headliner turns in a characteristically inspired performance behind the boards, blending crunchy, mid-tempo percussion, staccato keyboard chords and layered vocal harmonies to deliriously catchy effect. As if the infectious beat weren’t enough, Little Brother alum Phonte Coleman grabs the mic to deliver tuneful, introspective verses and a soulful hook. Fans will be able to find Temperamental and much more on RJD2’s More Is than Isn’t LP, scheduled to hit record stores and online retailers October 8.
