Robbie Celeste - Tales

retroGRADE

This morning, Robbie Celeste woke up in Florence. Things didn’t get too hot and heavy, however, as she soon had to get dressed and go to work. On freshly-released single Tales, his first feature on our pages, the unsigned rapper/producer shares a few snapshots of his life as a sexual tourist, flowing over his own moody keys and studio-tweaked guitar riffs. Though there’s more than a dash of braggadocio in his litany of trysts with exotic women, the artist freely admits that his many conquests are a mask for the lack of true intimacy in his life: ”Trust I don’t really contemplate / I’d rather compensate with a combination of model dates.” Feeling it? More awaits on Celeste’s retroGRADE LP, scheduled to drop digitally on Tuesday, October 22.
