Rockwell Powers ft. Tunji - I Wonder

Posted 6 years ago
Featuring:
Producer:
DJ Phinisey
Album:
Kings & Comics

Is there a higher power watching over us? Does life have a purpose? How can we know what’s real when our access to the world around us is mediated by our senses? And f*cking magnets… how do they work? All difficult questions (OK, except that last one), to which each must find his or her own answer. On new EP leak I Wonder, Washingtonian Booth newcomer Rockwell Powers gives us a little insight into some of the philosophical dilemmas he’s been pondering lately; over DJ Phinesy‘s laid-back, keyboard-driven boardwork, he offers his musings on life, death, the eternal conflict between science and religion, and his chances of someday finding a smart, beautiful girl who loves hip-hop as much as he does. On verse two, Inverse member Tunji addresses concerns a little closer to home, wondering whether or not his artistic grind will ultimately pay off. Needless to say, there are no definitive answers given, but fans of lyrically-driven underground freshness will undoubtedly enjoy the ride. If you’re digging it, pick up a copy of Rockwell’s Kings & Comics EP, set to drop later this month.
