Run The Jewels (El-P & Killer Mike) - 36” Chain

El-P & Killer Mike

With their debut full-length as Run the Jewels nearing release, El-P and Killer Mike have taken some time out of their busy promotional schedule to craft the inaugural entry in Adult Swim Singles, a newly-launched series of weekly song releases. Premiered today via Complex, the crew’s contribution is somewhat deceptively-titled; over his partner-in-rhyme’s thumping percussion and eight-bit synth arpeggios, Mike boasts “I walk around like I got a 36” Chain on,” leaving us to speculate whether either member actually possesses such an accessory. Of course, it’s hard to care about the intricacies of the duo’s jewelry game when the bars on display are so damn hot. If you like what you’re hearing, you can stay tuned to The DJBooth for all the latest Adult Swim Singles highlights. Additionally, watch our pages for the latest on Run the Jewels’ eponymous collaborative album, dropping via Fools Gold for free digital download before the month is out.
