RZA ft. Will Wells - Destiny Bends (Paul Walker Tribute)

Posted 2 years ago

On November 30, a car accident claimed the life of Paul Walker, a 40-year-old actor best known for playing Brian O’Connor in the Fast & Furious series. It was a sad day for fans of adrenaline-pumping action movies, but RZA has more personal reason for mourning his passing: his deep friendship with Walker, forged on the set of the upcoming Brick Mansions. In his honor, the Wu Tang ringleader has composed Destiny Bends, a poignant non-album cut. Bobby Digital remains behind the scenes on this emotionally-charged jam, creating the cut’s piano-led instrumental and penning it in collaboration with his two sons. Singer Will Wells delivers RZA’s poetic lyrics, which mix automotive imagery with heartfelt reflections on the importance of fatherhood. As indicated above, this ballad isn’t part of a larger set, but we’ll keep you posted on RZA’s plans as further details emerge.
