Saigon ft. Styles P - Not Like Them

Posted about 4 years ago
Featuring:
Producer:
DJ Corbett
Album:

Is it just me, or have there been some serious black power vibes in the Booth lately? Just days after the release of Gun, a single which saw Brooklyn’s Rilgood invoking the radical anti-cop message of Huey P. Newton, Saigon has stepped into the Booth with album lead single Not Like Them, a record whose Nicolas Heller-directed visuals find the artist rubbing shoulders with Black Panther protesters through the magic of digital editing. (So it’s kinda like Forrest Gump, but with way more melanin). The song itself is equally fresh and incendiary, with DJ Corbett serving up a street-ready, organ-driven groove to back the Big Apple rhymesayer and D-Block member Styles P. as they emphasize the qualities that set them apart from their peers in the game. Craving more hard-hitting cuts from Sai and company? Then be sure to pick up a copy of his sophomore full-length, Greatest Story Never Told Chapter 2: Bread & Circuses, on your way to the polls on November 6.
