Sassieon Dupris ft. Dawn Richard - Bust My Gun

UPDATE: “Bust My Gun” isn’t available to stream anymore.

Earlier this morning, we heard Juicy J and Wiz Khalifa threaten to shower their foes with hot lead on Shootin. While that cut’s aggressive vibe was unexpected, given the mellowing effects of their mutual favorite herb, I was even more surprised to see R&B singer Sassieon Dupris strapping up on new promo single Bust a Gun (a DJBooth-exclusive world premiere). It all made a little more sense when I learned that there was a woman involved. Over G Ry and B Carr‘s gentle, light rock-infused production, the Row Crew signee pays tribute to a girl he’d gladly squeeze a trigger to protect. Danity Kane alumnus Dawn Richard is equally willing to bust shots for her man, as she makes clear in her vocally impressive middle verse. This loosie is an appetizer for Sassieon Hill’s forthcoming full-length, Love| Fear| & Fantasies II, dropping digitally August 14.
