SchoolBoy Q - Hoover Street

Posted 2 years ago
Producer:
Sounwave [of Digi+Phonics]
Album:

Last month, ScHoolboy Q liberated the official visuals for Studio, single numero quatro off his widely-acclaimed debut set. Featuring vocals by BJ the Chicago Kid, the cut was a smooth departure from Mr. Bucket Hat’s usual style. On follow-up Hoover Street, by contrast, the TDE phenom turns the grit back up to 11 as he looks back on a childhood spent surrounded by poverty and crime. Digi+PhonicsSounwave creates an eerie instrumental backdrop for ScHoolboy’s autobiographical bars, and directors Yellow Nguyen and Moosa offers a visual interpretation of the narrative. Released in February, ScHoolboy Q’s Oxymoron LP is available now wherever fine music is sold.
