Scram Jones - Back in the Park

Scram Jones and Blickstreet [for Beast Music Inc.]
Wasted Talent EP

For a while now, East Coast music has taken a backseat to the slanguistics of Southern rap. Tough to say but, I damn near forgot what New York summers sounded like until I heard this. Scram Jones, whose been keeping steady on the boards for members of the Wu and other notables in the mainstream and underground game, decides to get uncouth on his own record. Back In The Park is the Lox, Ruff Ryders and Dipset gift-“rapped” in 1998’s appeal and demanded by the listeners of 2011. Scram flows so freely as if he’s joking around on a stoop with straight lines, no hook needed, as this is a track that reminds folks who created classic moments in our hip-hop memories. Production-wise: checkmate. If you know music, you know Jones and he’s maintained a clear agenda with his sound. Check Scram on his upcoming EP, Wasted Talent, and you can count on the Booth will keep you posted on when you can add this to ya’ memory bank!
