Sean Brown - Cold Nights

Posted 2 years ago
Joey Castellani

Sean Brown‘s last feature, Booth-exclusive freestyle The Top, showcased the emcee at his most bombastic and self-assured. On this newly-released loosie, we get to see the flip side of that Olympian self-confidence. Cold Nights finds the Los Angeles emcee giving voice to the dark thoughts that keep him awake into the wee hours of the morning. Backed by Joey Castellani‘s haunting samples, he spits about his jealousy of his more successful peers, his concern for his ailing mother, and his intermittent battles with depression. Through it all, however, he retains an ironclad faith in his own abilities, and urges others to follow in his footsteps by soldiering on despite the obstacles in their path. This joint isn’t attached to a larger set… yet. As always, y’all will be the first to know if and when that changes.
