Selasi - Call the Police (Murdera)

Coming to America

Need a new excuse to place unnecessary calls to the emergency services, now that the “Shawty fire burning on the dancefloor” routine’s gotten stale? Well, my first suggestion would be to find a hobby that doesn’t involve stiff fines but, if you’re dead set on it, Selasi‘s latest feature may be just what you’re looking for; on mixtape promo cut Murdera, the Ghanaian-born singer/producer pleads for someone to Call the Police on a criminally-attractive female with a history of “...stealing n*ggas’ hearts.” As usual, Selasi does double-duty on the mic and behind the boards, serving up a head-noddably laid-back reggae beat as he fills the officer in on just what it is that makes this femme fatale so dangerous: with a “...body that fire like a gun,” an irresistible scent and an insatiable hunger for designer clothes, she’s too much for any man to handle. If you’re feeling this Caribbean-accented cut, you don’t have to look far for more fresh tunes – released earlier today, Selasi’s DJBooth.net-sponsored Coming to America street album is available on our mixtape page for free streaming and download!
