Sha Stimuli ft. Mickey Factz - Televised Revolution

Posted 5 years ago
Featuring:
Producer:
Mell & D
Album:
Unsung Vol. 1 (The Garden of Eden)

In a famous spoken-word piece, poet Gil-Scott Heron declared that “The revolution will not be televised.” Of course, that was in the 1970’s, long before the advent of YouTube and reality TV; today, the prospect of a Televised Revolution no longer sounds quite so unusual. On the latest single off his brand new full-length, NYC fave Sha Stimuli offers his take on the topic of radical change. Over Mell & D‘s clattering, electric-guitar-laced boardwork, the freestyle series alum delivers shotgun-blasts of politically-charged lyricism, invoking black leaders from Frederick Douglass and Marcus Garvey to Jimi Hendrix and Bob Marley. Fellow Big Apple native (and freestyle series contributor) Mickey Factz handles guest duties, lacing the back with his own brand of revolutionary rhetoric. Like what you’re hearing? Fans can find this bracing jam and much more on Unsung Vol. 1 (The Garden of Eden), released on January 4 and available now via Coast 2 Coast Mixtapes.
