Skeme ft. Schoolboy Q - Kidz With Gunz

After reading the title of Skeme‘s latest feature, I was expecting a downer. As it turns out, though, the record’s not a tragic tale involving child soldiers or a gritty expose of life as a shorty in the ‘hood; it’s just the story of two Kidz With Gunz bragging, stacking paper and generally emphasizing their flyness. Here, THC‘s tinny synths and bass-booming rhythm section set the stage for brash, confrontational bars from the Inglewood native and fellow Golden State buzzmaker Schoolboy Q (recently featured with #TDEFamAppreciationWeek release Party). Alive & Living is scheduled to hit record stores and online retailers October 16. In the meantime, fans can cop this single now on iTunes.
