Skyzoo & !llmind ft. Sean Price & Rock (of Heltah Skeltah) - The Burn Notice

Producer:
!llmind
Album:
Live From the Tape Deck

According to trusty ol’ Wikipedia, the TV series Burn Notice tells the story of a former spy investigating the shady dealings that led to his being dismissed and blacklisted. Does that have anything to do with The Burn Notice, the final Booth-exclusive world premiere off Skyzoo and !llmind‘s collaborative LP? Not to my knowledge – but it most definitely is hot… and… uh… noticeable? OK, that was an awful segue; fortunately, you’ll forget all about it just a couple bars into this epic street banger, which finds Sky and two fellow Brooklyn mainstays going in over !ll’s blazing blend of arpeggiated synths and crunchy guitar riffs. On the mic, the freestyle series alum is joined by Sean Price and Rock of Heltah Skeltah, who supplement his dizzying wordplay with their own brand of off-kilter wit “5-4-3-2 starter pistol blast off / Yo proctologist, Ruck is rapping his ass off / N*ggas lost like Tribe of Shabazz – find em, with a verse that’ll surprise they ass.” Fans can find this cut and much, much more on Live From the Tape Deck, dropping tomorrow. In addition, watch for the duo’s In the Mix interview to hit our front page soon. Also fans will be able to catch Skyzoo, Rock and Sean Price and more on Duck Down‘s forthcoming 15th Anniversary East Coast Tour; click here to learn more and purchase tickets!
