Not a moment too soon, Slum Village have stepped into the Booth with a new single as cool and refreshing as a Summer Breeze. On this balmy cut, the legendary Detroit crew enlists outside production assistance from Booth regular Focus… Over the Grammy-winning beatsmith and sometime rapper’s mellow sample work, crew members T3 and Illa J deliver steamy verses dedicated to the women in their lives. If the famous “ice cube scene” from Do the Right Thing were a hip-hop record, this just might be it. For this joint, previous single Forever and many more fresh cuts, cop the veteran trio’s Evolution LP when it hits record stores and online retailers June 25, via The Orchard.
