Slum Village (w/ Baatin) - The World Is Yours

Slum Village has succeeded in getting its name into the hip-hop history books, but the legendary Detroit crew’s journey was far from an easy one. On new mixtape single The World Is Yours, the crew take a look back at the obstacles they surmounted, the rejection they suffered, and the sacrifices they made to ensure their legacy would live on. Appropriately considering the record’s retrospective theme, the late Baatin makes an appearance on the cut, trading verses with group cofounder T3 and young gun Illa J over Young RJ‘s sampled production. On the hook, the crew make the obligatory nod to Nas’ classic, Scarface-inspired track of the same title. Featuring this single, previously-featured joints Decadence, Riot and LONG Way Down and much more, Dirty Slums 2 is set to drop tomorrow, January 29. The project will be freely streamable in The DJBooth, and a premium version will be available for digital purchase.
