Snoop Dogg ft. Devin the Dude & Kobe Honeycutt - I Don’t Need No B*tch

Posted 5 years ago
Featuring:
Producer:
DJ Khalil
Album:
Doggumentary

With as much longevity as Cal Ripken, Jr. or John Stockton in his respective craft, Calvin Broadus (hereafter referred to as Snoop Dogg) has been a model of longevity. In an occupation where there is more hype than success behind rappers, Snoop has stayed true to his roots while also constantly working with new talent. Linking up with Devin the Dude (I’m sure you remember What a Job) and Kobe Honeycutt (who’ve you heard on Fabolous joints), the three come together to knock out a solid effort for Snoop that should bring plenty of attention for his upcoming album, Doggumentary. Produced by Cali hit-maker DJ Khalil, IDNNB provides a hazy feel that’s still fully equipped with head-nodding drums, reminding us of several jams on which Snoop has rapped over (see Blue Carpet Treatment for a reminder). As Kobe provides a sing-along chorus reinforcing the theme of the song, Devin and Snoop trade off verses dealing with the same concept, declaring IDNNB to the extreme. Doggumentary drops March 29, and if there’s more records like this to come the album will be another addition to the Doggfather’s already historically impressive catalog.
