SonReal - Luck

Posted 2 years ago
Producer:
Alex Lustig
Album:
One Long Day

On his last DJBooth feature, SonReal told us that, more than acquiring fame or making money, he simply wanted to give hip-hop lovers something to Believe in. With the lousy Luck he’s experienced lately, though, even he sometimes has trouble keeping faith in his abilities. The Canadian emcee’s latest single finds him struggling with self-doubt regarding his prospects for success in the rap game. Backed by Alex Lustig‘s tuneful, guitar-laced beat, he spits, “People say I’ll blow off the fact that I’m really good. / If really good is how you blow, then there’d be a lot more who would.” Despite his misgivings, however, he remains determined to hang in there till he finally gets his rightful shine. Fans will be able to find Luck and much more on SonReal’s One Long Day LP, dropping next Tuesday (1/21) via Goodlife Inc.
