Soul Tools Entertainment ft. Mastermind - Hood Dreamin

Producer:
Reggie Reg
Album:
Denmark Vesey

In any major urban area, you can find countless young men and women fantasizing about becoming the next rap superstar—and perhaps a couple dozen willing to put in the hustle necessary to turn their reveries into reality. An enterprising rhymesayer hailing from my own city of residence (that’s Minneapolis, for those who haven’t been taking notes), Nick “Mastermind” Muhammad has already carved out a niche for himself in our mutual home strees, but he’s far from satisfied. On new single Hood Dreamin, the Soul Tools Entertainment rhymesayer fills us in on just how far he’s looking to go with this rap sh*t. Producer Reggie Reg provides a unique instrumental backdrop for the emcee’s visions of the fast life, flipping a children’s choir sample as Mastermind looks forward to the beautiful women, screaming crowds and monster checks that lie in his future. Even more than material gain, however, the rhymesayer desires to give back to the community: “...I could bring it back to the ‘hood / Start my own non-profit called Incredible Good / Tycoon with a heart, you know that I would.” A worthy goal, but does he have the skills to achieve it? If you’re leaning toward the affirmative you can look forward to more quality tunes on the artist’s Denmark Vesey LP, coming soon. Additionally, this record’s official video has already wrapped and will be released to the net in the very near future.
