Stalley ft. Schoolboy Q - NineteenEighty7

Posted about 3 years ago
Featuring:
Producer:
Terrace Martin
Album:

If you ask me, the best year ever was 1988 (It just so happens that was my birth year.). After listening to Stalley’s latest effort, however, I think NineteenEighty7 may give ’88 a run for its money. West Coast veteran Terrace Martin‘s superb production sets the mood on this atmospheric cut, which is slated for inclusion on the MMG emcee’s latest project. Martin cooks up a head-noddable beat whose sound is reminiscent of a ‘70s cop drama; the perfect complement to Stalley’s restrained, yet forceful flow. Adding an extra layer of grime is Schoolboy Q, whose powerful guest 16, sandwiched between Stalley’s two verses, is a great addition to this edgy record. NineteenEighty7 can be found on Stalley’s Honest Cowboy street album, dropping digitally later today.
