Starrs & Murph ft. Vic Damone - Money Over Here

Posted 7 years ago
Featuring:
Producer:
Araab Money
Album:
Boxes For Sale Mixtape

Starrs & Murph‘s previous two features, Loaded Gun and Marry You, had a somewhat similar vibe, thanks in large part to Araab Money‘s ‘70s-sampling beats.  Through Araab once again handles production duties on the duo’s latest record, Money Over Here, the title should tip listeners off that things are going to be a bit different this time around.  Abandoning the retro feel (at least for the moment) in favor of a more modern, organ-driven beat, Araab sets the stage for a record about – what else – the acquisition and spending of cash.  In true Scrooge McDuck style, the two do the backstroke through their immense piles of paper, as Brooklyn hookman Vic Damone makes it crystal clear that those who would jack their style don’t have a chance.  Fortunately for listeners, the duo’s money-hungry lyrics are, for the moment, only an act – the DJ On Point-hosted Boxes for Sale mixtape is available now, and Starrs & Murph aren’t charging a cent.
