Statik Selektah ft. Reks, Termanology & Kali - Fake Love (Yes Men)

Posted 6 years ago
Featuring:
Producer:
Statik Selektah
Album:
100 Proof

Over the last month we’ve been releasing a steady stream of tracks from Statik Selektah’s upcoming album 100 Proof  - most recently the DJBooth approved So Close, So Far - but we’ve finally come to the end of the road (cue the Boyz II Men music). Our last feature before the album drops is the scorching Fake Love (Yes Men), a bouncing cut produced by Statik that his Boston emcee compatriots Reks, Termanology and Kali use to point out everyone who shows love to aspiring rappers, falsely inflating their egos, and then are nowhere to be found when things go wrong. If you just read that sentence and felt a twinge of self-recognition, I highly recommend you change your ways before Reks, Term and Kali call you out, and do so with some serious lyrical skill. For more fearlessly honest hip-hop like Fake Love be sure to check out Statik’s album 100 Proof when it drops February 2.
