Streets Buchanon ft. RAtheMC - Change Up

Featuring:
Producer:
Mike Beatz
Album:
Frequent Flyer Miles [Presented by DJ Benzi]

A commonly held belief regarding success in the music game is that fame and fortune inevitably change a person. But is that really such a bad thing? Streets Buchanon thinks not. On the latest leak off his forthcoming street album, the Different Over Here emcee informs those who thought he’d Change Up upon hitting the big-time that, well, he has – for the better. Backed by the laid-back, piano-led boardwork of rapper-producer Mike Beatz, Buchanon emphasizes his determination to be a leader, not a follower in the hip-hop game, delivering verses laced with easygoing braggadocio. DMV favorite RAtheMC laces the back end with her trademark retro swagger, making no bones about her towering ambition: “I swear I’m ‘bout to change the whole scene, son / RA’s a queen and I’m comin’ for your kingdom.” This is a fresh track, to be sure, but is Streets Buchanon truly game-changer material? We’ll find out for sure tomorrow, March 1, when the rising star’s DJ Benzi/IM KING/DJBooth.net-presented Frequent Flyer Miles mixtape hits our frontpage.
