Surfing fans know The Endless Summer as the most classic of classic wave riding flicks, and fans of tabi Bonney now know The Endless Summer as the title of the DMV emcee’s new album. (Surfing tabi Bonney fans are having a very good day.) A deluxe re-release of tabi’s The Summer Years project,  Endless Summer will feature several new tracks, beginning with today’s release, Castle on a Cloud. Ski Beatz mans the boards on Castle, composing an appropriately dreamy and saxophone laced beat that singer Terri Walker completes nicely with an angel-wing smooth hook. On the mic, Bonney is at his most unapologetically successful, letting the haters know that he sees them, but they can’t block his view of the future: “Self motivated / lyrically levitated / someone told me don’t look back until you know you’ve made it.” Just in time for the warmer weather months, The Endless Summer is slated for a free release on May 17; until then we’ll just have to keep our eyes open for more info and our ears open for more new music.
