Tanya Morgan - Worldmade

Struggling to punch your ballot for the DJBooth’s Best Indie Hip Hop Album of 2013 award? Well, Tanya Morgan is out for your vote. Their new video for Worldmade (off of the nominated project, Rubber Souls LP) is a strong campaign tool. The visuals capture the intense, goose bump-inducing vibe of the song, which is thanks to shots of the duo in the studio, as well as training shots of undefeated Brooklyn Muay Thai fighter, Angela ‘Overkill’ Hill. The live band instrumentals (thank you, 6th Sense) give the pair’s vocals a special pop and allows there deep, painfully truthful bars to ring out. Von Pea says it best, “It speaks on how we all value ourselves and each other, and how that leads to the way we are valued by those in positions to help us…the people vs our leaders.” If you haven’t cast your vote just yet, be sure to listen to their Rubber Souls LP before doing so.
