Tech N9ne ft. Kendrick Lamar & Oobergeek - I Love Music

Posted 5 years ago
Featuring:
Producer:
Mike "EM80" Dupree
Album:
All 6?s and 7?s

Life in the game hasn’t always been easy for Tech N9ne; on the contrary, the industry’s failure to recognize his manifest skills has, at times, had him hanging onto sanity by the barest thread. Be that as it may, he wouldn’t have traded the experience for anything. On new record I Love Music, the Strange Music head honcho makes plain just how grateful he is for the opportunity to make a living in hip-hop. Supported by Mike “EM80” Dupree‘s bouncing, synth-assented bass grooves, he drops bars as positive as they are complexly-flowed, celebrating his success to date and even giving a nod to the man upstairs: “God is so good for givin’ my music, liftin’ getting’ me through when I was fixin’ to lose it.” Energized by the headliner’s scorching opener, XXL Freshman Kendrick Lamar and Booth newcomer Oobergeek go hard on the guest tip disproving the haters’ contention that “good music skipped [their] generation.” Digging this dope display of positivity? There’s plenty more where this came from: claimed the artist himself to be his “biggest” and “craziest” effort yet, All 6’s and 7’s hits stores June 7.
