The Black Opera ft. Mayer Hawthorne - Queen of Hearts

Libretto: Of King Legend

Operating according to rules often inaccessible to rational thought, love is one of life’s greatest mysteries. So who better to offer a few comments on the subject than the most enigmatic group in underground hip-hop? On new single The Queen of Hearts, anonymous rap collective The Black Opera offer a series of lyrical perspectives on the title character, leaving listeners to decide for themselves where the truth lies. Joining the crew over project collaborator Astronote‘s lush sample work, soul mainstay Mayer Hawthorne lends his ear-pleasing vocals to the record’s hook. Fans can find this record, along with previously-featured singles Black Lair and Balcony, on Black Opera’s Libretto: Of King Legend street album, available now for digital purchase.
