The Cranberry Show ft. Mod Sun - Leather Seats

Featuring:
Producer:
Sango
Album:

Back in April, The Cranberry Show kicked off promotion for their next street album with Gravity. Despite scoring points for creativity, the Gorillaz-inspired video single failed to elicit much excitement among readers in the Booth. Undaunted by that cut’s cool reception, Young Focus and Arcane have bounced back with Leather Seats, a follow-up which, if anything, is more off-the-wall than its predecessor. Here, a chaotic synth-sample beat by Sango (last heard collaborating with Atu on the duo) backs the Milwaukee representatives as they mix hustle talk with wordplay-laced game-spitting. (Standout line: “You got diamonds in your pupils / you must be a Gemini [gem-in-eye].”) Twin Cities buzzmaker Mod Sun contributes guest vocals. The Cranberry Show’s forthcoming street album, The Jellyfish Theory, is set to drop digitally next Thursday, May 23. In the meantime, of course, you can stay tuned for the latest song releases.
