The Doppelgangaz - Barbiturates

The Doppelgangaz

The stimulant known as molly may be en vogue at the moment, but EP and Matter Ov Fact of The Doppelgangaz have been on some different ish lately. Very different, in fact. The latest single off the Orange County, New York twosome’s latest full-length, Barbiturates lives up to its title. Over an immersive in-house beat that manages to sound simultaneously soulful and numbed-out, the partners-in-rhyme share free-associative lyrical reflections on their mic prowess, their philosophical outlook and even their culinary preferences. (I don’t know about y’all, but I’m craving some “fish and chips… with malt vinegar” right about now. And I wouldn’t pass up “carafe of E&J,” either.) The crew’s own visuals, shot by Big Josh, round out the package. Craving more? You’ll find what you seek on HARK, available now for streaming and purchase in The DJBooth.
