The Freshmen ft. Samm - Here’s To You

Posted 4 years ago
Producer:
Kristo
Album:
None (Promo Single)

As modern day philosopher and astute observed of the human condition Shawty Lo once said, “Big ups, to all my haters!!!” Whether you’re an over-worked employee dealing with an angry boss, a 5th grader dealing with a bully or a rapper dealing an album reviewer (they’re the worst), haters abound. But negativity also has the ability to inspire – case in point Here’s To You. The brand new promo single from Party Crashing trio The Freshmen finds group producer Kristo serving up an electro-meets-hip-hop-percussion beat perfect for an anti-hater anthem and fellow Freshmen A. Wolf follows his lead nicely, throwing down bars guaranteed to back down even the Grinchiest of doubters. Toss in some double-duty mic work from Kristo and a hook from Samm and you’ve got some of that middle finger music we all need from time to time. While this toast to silencing the critics doesn’t have a home on a larger project yet, hopefully we’ll get word of a release date on the Cali crew’s Party Crashers mixtape soon (hint, hint, nudge, nudge guys).
