The O’My’s - Cough Drop

A Humble Masterpiece

Absent from our pages since dropping off Bout a Dolla back in August of 2012, Chi-Town live-band ensemble The O’My’s make their triumphant return to the DJBooth with Cough Drop, single numero uno off their next studio album. Here, Nick Hennessey‘s gentle keyboard chords back singer Maceo Haymes as he serenades a special woman in his life, delivering his verses in a dazzling falsetto. It’s actually a little hard to believe that those vocals are coming from the unassuming, buttoned-down dude in the picture. Fortunately, we have corroborating evidence in the form of GL Joe‘s official visuals. If this heartfelt jam has you hooked, you’ll be able to hear more on forthcoming independent full-length A Humble Masterpiece, dropping via iTunes in September.
