The Regiment ft. Guilty Simpson - Beef

Producer:
Nick Speed
Album:

I was considering going vegeterian for the new year but, for a variety of reasons, I didn’t end up making the resolution. And it’s a damn good thing I didn’t, because otherwise I wouldn’t be able to dig into the latest single from Detroit hip-hop crew The Regiment. On freshly-minted LP single Beef, partners-in-rhyme OSI and Iseqold emphasize just how quickly disagreements can turn violent among hustlers in the D, showcasing their aggressive flows over a grimy guitar-loop beat by project collaborator Nick Speed. Guilty Simpson, a fellow Motown mainstay and connoisseur of red meat, lends his flow to the middle verse. The Regiment’s latest full-length, Live From the Coney Island, is available for pre-order now in advance of its release tomorrow (1/7) via Soul Tools Ent.
