Theophilus Martins - Look On The Bright Side

Posted 2 years ago
Producer:
Jamie XX and Gil Scott Heron
Album:
Doing It For Television

If you’ve been running your whole life, once you stop, everything changes—your confidence, your perspective, and maybe even your voice. Today, on the exclusive premiere of Theophilus Martins’ new single, Look On The Bright Side, all of those things (and more) happened for the emcee. Undoubtedly (and its still early), the Providence native has turned in the Inspirational Record of The Day, a soundtrack to taking the first step towards that one goal you’ve been avoiding for so long. The distorted melodies over a military beat will wake you up and have you going; that is, if your nagging mom hasn’t already. Seriously, though, get off your couch and don’t let time run away from you. I mean, look at the bright side: “In order for there to be death, there’s gotta be life… You gotta lose sh*t before you get it back…Bright Side will be found on Theo’s upcoming project, Doing It For Television, set for free release this June.
