Top $ Raz - Race

Oscar Oneill
Reign on the Parade

As a self-described mix of the iconic Notorious B.I.G. and equally grandiose A Tribe Called Quest, it’s safe to say that Queens emcee and Booth newcomer Top $ Raz represents his city to the fullest. While Raz may be a stranger to our pages the emcee has been putting on for hip-hop since the tender age of 16. The Far Rockaway spitter kicks off his latest record Race quite daringly as he drops a brief audio clip from a scene on the Showtime series Dexter. From there Raz keeps with the brazen nature of the cut as he raps, “I don’t sink, no surprise. No, I never follower orders/ I’m a G. I’m a boss. Like a mother f**kin Carter/ Look at me, plant a seed in your mother f**kin daughter.”  Although the Oscar Oneill-produced record is just short of the two-minute mark it’s safe to say that Top $ Raz does a commendable job of introducing himself in such a brief amount of time. Race will be featured on Top $ Raz’ Reign On The Parade project, which is presented by and due for release on September 18.
