Trackademicks ft. Mistah F.A.B. - Stop It!

Trackademicks
Album:
State of the Arts

If you’re a hip-hop artist churning out ignorant dreck in hopes of lining your pockets, Trackademicks has a small request to make: Stop It! That’s right – on his latest single, the rapper/producer who brought us Fool on the Hill addresses sub-par spitters everywhere, asking them to cut out all that wack sh*t that he, and most heads who weren’t born yesterday, have come to hate. Flowing over his own breezily fresh synth boardwork, he calls all the usual suspects to the stand (“Mr. Braggadocio,” “Mr. Superficial,” Mr. Pimp-with-a-fake-limp…) and knocks them down, one by one. For those too cynical to respond to the headliner’s appeals to conscience, Bay Area mainstay Mistah F.A.B. wisely points out: “Often, the stuntin, the boastin’ and the falsin’ will get you in a coffin.” So, how about it, Booth readers – would we all be better off if emcees followed the collaborators advice? If you think so, then a musical breath of fresh air is just a few mouse-clicks away – released last Thursday (October 7), Track’s State of the Arts street album is available now for free online download.
