Travis Barker ft. The Cool Kids - Jump Down

Posted 6 years ago
Featuring:
Producer:
Travis Barker and Chuck Inglish
Album:
Give The Drummer Some

If you weren’t a homeroom lounging, milk carton drinking middle schooler ten years ago, then you don’t know how big Blink-182 was at the turn of the century. They were the answer to boy bands and girl pop before Eminem stepped up and swiftly embodied the ‘hip-hop’ trend in white suburbia. The most talented artist in the band, drummer Travis Barker, is now continuing to make his way deep into the world of hip-hop (successfully, I might add), with his lead single and first solo Booth feature Jump Down. On Jump Down Barker plays the Carlos Santana role, providing the record with some of his peerless percussion as well as co-producing it with Chuck Inglish of The Cool Kids fame. Speaking of which, the Kids give Jump Down its vocal touch, laying down more of the cleverly subdued bars they’ve become known for. While some purists may find fault with the rock-rap hybrid, those with more open minds, and ears, will want to keep an eye out for Barker’s upcoming album, Give the Drummer Some, due out sometime near the end of the year.
