DJBooth Presents: 45 Days Series (Feb 14th)

On installment number three of TreaZon‘s ongoing, Booth-exclusive 45 Days series, the emcee rejoins forces with his Final Bout partner in rhyme, Threatz (who recently brought us the highly-rated Flow), to bring us a previously-unreleased cut he considers to be one of his best ever, featuring his very first attempt at a sung hook.  Struck by Royal Sadness due to discord within his crew, the Cleveland native turns out another record filled with his trademark introspective rhymes.  This time, however, he makes a few unconventional choices on the production tip – instead of illustrating his melancholy mood with a downtempo instrumental, he underscores the stressful nature of the subject matter by bending his flow around an energetic beat driven by swung percussion and synthesized brass.  Fans can expect installment number four of The 45 Days, Ventilation, to hit our front page later this week.
