Trey Songz - Smart Phones

Album:

I have a friend who still has a flip phone and, let me tell you, he catches plenty of sh*t from just about everyone living in this 21st century. I mean, who doesn’t have an iPhone or Android? They are the most popular purchased products on the plant. Well, if all goes well for R&B veteran Trey Songz, his new single will be more popular than either of the aforementioned Smart Phones. Even so, the possession of a wise device that makes calls, texts and accesses the internet doesn’t preclude Trey from doing “dumb sh*t.” Setting the stage are co-producers Bryan “Composer” Nelson and Alvin Isaacs, who turn in a poignant, chiming R&B number. The production is perfect for Songz’ traditional, falsetto-filled performance where he prepares to deal with some serious repercussions for some not so smart phone nonsense. This effort was appropriately released through Songz’ iPhone app, The Angel Network, and it will be on his new album, Trigga, due out later this year.

UPDATE: We’ve added the Gil Green directed visuals for Smart Phone. Those interested in watching the explicit version can click here.
