Trick Daddy - This Is The Life That I Live

Finally Famous: Born a Thug, Die a Thug

On Trick Daddy‘s latest single, the Miami-based rapper claims to be “bringing that thug sh*t back.” Now, I’m not quite sure when it left or where it went away to, but listeners can rest assured that Trick’s come through with the goods. This Is The Life That I Live, set for inclusion on the emcee’s forthcoming Finally Famous: Born A Thug, Die A Thug LP, is the rapper’s first single since his split with hip-hop powerhouse Slip-N-Slide Records, as well as the first on his new label, Dunk Ryders. This record is pretty much what most would expect from Trick Daddy, but longtime fans are going to find very little to complain about here. As previously stated, Trick Daddy keeps it thug as he explicitly describes his life on the streets of Miami. Trick Daddy’s passionate delivery is complemented by Schife‘s energetic, synth-fueled boardwork, and it all adds up to an upbeat Dirty South street cut sure to receive trunk-banging rotation all summer long.
