The Villain

Roughly four years ago, Lil’ Jon was arguably the biggest trendsetter in hip-hop; his production work is part of the reason that Usher and Ciara are both so relevant today.  Hoping for a comeback to mainstream popularity in 2008, the King of Crunk has influenced Detroit’s Trick Trick with the keyboard-percussion beat behind the new song, Let It Fly.  Also ready for resurgence, West Coast legend Ice Cube (who previously worked with Jon on Roll Call and Go to Church) makes an appearance and adds some humorous commentary about Detroit’s mayor.  Since our site always keeps the DJ in mind, we advise all club DJs to spin Let It Fly; the crowd’s reaction should speak for itself.
