Tyga - We Don’t Die

In case you aren’t hip to all the late-breaking hip-hop news, Tyga has been beefing with a certain member of the 2014 XXL Freshman class. While his latest record, We Don’t Die, doesn’t feature any direct shots, Tyga sure sounds like a man on a mission. On this tune, the YMCMB artist takes a more edgy approach, doling out some assertive bars in a crisp, cutting flow. His hostile, almost angry rhymes are an interesting juxtaposition to Dupri‘s boardwork, which has a smoky, reggae-informed feel, as does the stellar hook. This record will not appear on the artist’s forthcoming album, but fans can expect many more jams like it when The Gold Album: 18th Dynasty drops.
