Tyler, The Creator - Domo 23

Tyler, The Creator

About the only thing you can expect from Tyler, The Creator (or anyone else in OF for that matter) is that you will never know what to expect. His latest, the first single off his new album Wolf, continues that trend. By the end of Domo 23, you might have no idea what the f**k just happened, but you will be oddly hungry for more. If Tyler’s gravelly flow and absurd lyrics don’t get you, then the Wolf Haley-directed visuals, which seem like a skit from Odd Future’s Adult Swim show Loiter Squad, will have you craving more…despite you better judgment. At the end the tune abruptly cuts out, transitioning to a slower, chiming beat backed by what sounds like Frank Ocean’s vocals. Maybe it is a preview of another song from the album? But on the other hand it could just as easily be part of Domo 23. I guess we will have to wait until Wolf drops in early April to find out.
