Uno Hype - Oh Well

F*ck The Hype EP

It’s hard to not lump younger rappers into a general pot of being mindless swag rap drones before you listen to their music, but there are teenage/early 20-something artists that deserve a legitimate listen. Not able to legally drink yet hip-hopper Uno Hype delivers one of those worthy-of-a-listen records on his new song Oh Well, which shows maturity beyond his years. Produced by Odd Couple, the ambient key filled joint rides home on two different snare tempos giving the song an overall airy feeling. Though the DMV has plenty of artists holding hip-hop down, it’s possible that this young man could be worthy of a small spot alongside them if he continues to grow and add more depth to the music that he creates. Oh Well is from the soon-to-drop EP F*ck The Hype, set to be released via Bombay Knox.
