A song titled Front Back Side to Side could center around any number of activities—piloting a helicopter, playing Space Invaders, tying twine around a parcel for ease of transport—but those well-versed in Verse‘s ouvre know the Virgin Islands-born up-and-comer as a talented artist with just one thing on his mind: sex, sex, and more sex (okay, I guess that was three things).  Fortunately, gettin’ it in is one lyrical theme that will never lose its appeal, and the singer/emcee approaches the topic with more imagination than most.  This latest feature, the third exclusive world premiere off his forthcoming Sex Tape Chronicles mixtape, is a prime example of Verse’s uncanny knack for talking dirty.  Over a synth-heavy slow-jam instrumental by Eddie F. of Heavy D & the Boyz fame, the artist spits a series of come-ons that run the gamut from direct, to sensitive, to downright whimsical (“I’m a magician, and you are sittin’ on a wand—abracadabra and you come!”), and tops the record off with a catchy R&B hook.  If this cut, along with The Work Out Plan and Pass Me the Rubbas leave you jonesing for more of Verse’s freaky tunes, be sure to download a copy of his latest mixtape when it hits the ‘net in mid-July.
