Virtuoso ft. M-Dot & V. Knuckles - Ted Koppel

Posted 3 years ago
Featuring:
Producer:
Snowgoons
Album:
CoVirt Ops: Infantry

On the classic Mighty Healthy, Wu-Tang veteran Ghostface compared himself to an unlikely role model, boasting, “I hit mics like Ted Koppel.” Underground emcee Virtuoso evidently finds the longtime Nightline anchor just as inspiring as Tony Stark does, as his latest single and first DJBooth feature is built around a sample of that very line. Like Koppel, the Cambridge, Massachusetts native doesn’t rock the mic solo; M-Dot and V. Knuckles co-anchor the cut, joining the headliner over a string-sampled beat by the Snowgoons. Fans can find this cut and many more bangers on CoVirt Ops: Infantry, Virtuoso’s collaborative set with the German beat crew. Released last Tuesday via Goon MuSick, the project is available now for purchase via iTunes.
