TBD (Promo Single)

Voli may make crafting dope music look easy, but don’t get it twisted; his seemingly effortless freshness requires a constant supply of Blood Sweat & Tears. On this newly-released promo single, the Jersey rapper/producer (and freestyle series alum) gives listeners a taste of what it takes to do what he does on a daily basis. As usual, the emcee does double-duty on the mic and behind the boards, cooking up an intricate melange of jagged guitar riffs, sizzling synths and pensive bells to back bars dripping with feverish determination. Assuring listeners that nothing—nothing—is going to stop him from achieving the success he’s dreamed of for so long, he spits “ Trust me, trust me, I know I tell you every year / Just let my body catch up ‘cause my mind already there.” You can’t argue with Voli’s diligence and tenacity, but does he have the skills to pay the bills? I think I know the answer but, as always, Booth readers have the final say. Those who like what they’re hearing can peep the record’s official video here, as well as keeping it locked for all the latest from the Garden State fast-riser.
