When you hear the term “2 Minute Drill,” names like Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, and John Elway come to mind. The list doesn’t end there, though, according to DJBooth newcomer Vulkan The Krusader. No, Vulkan is not an NFL star (although what a great name for a quarterback!). Instead he is a BK-based emcee, born in Cali, whose new street single is entitled 2 Minute Drill. The aptly named tune features an über-grimy beat, courtesy of Nappanott and Polo Pirate, which Vulkan bodies for a little over two minutes; no hook, no chorus, just 161 seconds of wicked punchlines hammered out with a rugged, raw delivery. 2 Minute Drill will appear on Vulkan’s upcoming project, V dropping on Valentines Day 2013.
