Walter J. Liveharder ft. Plug 2 (of De La Soul) - For Salty Dawgz

Posted 2 years ago
Tony Baines

An underground buzzmaker hailing from the Windy City, Walter J. Liveharder introduces his witty, unapologetically lyrical style to The DJBooth with For Salty Dawgz, the latest single and pseudo-title track off his next album. Over fellow Chicagoan Tony Baines‘s gritty, yet sinuous sample work, the unsigned spitter lets loose at his competition in verses jam-packed with polysyllabically-rhymed punchlines. De La Soul‘s Plug Two (aka Trugoy) guests, kicking his 16 off with a riff on Black Sheep’s classic The Choice Is Yours. Like what you’re hearing? Then watch the Booth for more fresh cuts leading up to the release of Liveharder’s Salty LP later this summer.
