Warm Brew - How You Feeling From That

Untitled Mixtape (TBD)

Los Angeles crew Warm Brew like to get inebriated as much as the next guys—I mean, you’ve got to be a partier to name yourself after room-temperature beer—but they do have their limits. The latest leak off their forthcoming mixtape, How You Feeling From That finds Espy, Serk Spliff, Baby Boy Manu and Ray Wright examining the line where “too much fun crosses over into, simply, “too much.” Listed handles production duties, slicing and dicing a a glossy, ‘80s-informed sample as the emcees tell the story of a young lady who was living life in the fast lane before she was even old enough to drive. Though the female in question’s tolerance for the hard stuff is certainly impressive (“Like a g*ddamn sinner or a saint—she want another one man, she can’t wait.”), it was only a matter of time before her life of excess caught up with her: “The very next time I see the ho in the do’, she was 96 pounds with an 8-ball bro…” As catchy as it is lyrically sobering, this cautionary party cut is sure to leave fans amped for the crew’s forthcoming street album. Keep it locked for the latest details on the project which as-yet lacks both a title and a solid release date.
